He told me he uses this with his pupils like a continuous blog and he reports back his pupils discuss and evaluate each others entries. What is a Padlet. Essentially its a website that allows groups of people to make entries. I noticed they also had QR codes.
Using QR codes you could then conduct a group research based on scattering QRcodes ( which incidentally you could make at http://www.qrstuff.com ) which means the students could be investigating a reconstruction of an historical event like the release of Nelson Mandela or something!! A crime, recent history, and use internet reports to generate the QR codes. So your pupils could build up a 360 view of the event.
