Windows 8 apps provide a range of classic and fiction books most at no costs. The format is easy to read and use. For those with physical difficulties using a switch to emulate the spacebar for turning pages could enable children to be more independent. Crick USB Switch box (£99) from Inclusive Technology allows you to program a switch to perform this operation. But most switch devices will allow the space bar to be employed.
